Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday inaugurated the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, India’s largest mobility expo, which is expected to showcase over 100 new launches across automobiles, component products, and technologies.

The five-day event is being held across three venues: Bharat Mandapam and Yashobhoomi in the national capital, and the India Expo Center and Mart in Greater Noida.

Modi inaugurated the expo at Bharat Mandapam in the presence of Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari, H.D. Kumaraswamy, Jitan Ram Manjhi, Manohar Lal, Piyush Goyal, and Hardeep Singh Puri, alongside leaders from the automobile sector.

Scheduled from 17–22 January, the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 aims to bring together the entire mobility ecosystem—from automobile manufacturers to component suppliers, electronics parts producers, tyre and energy storage makers, automotive software developers, and material recyclers—under one roof.

With the theme “Beyond Boundaries: Co-creating Future Automotive Value Chain”, the expo aims to foster collaboration and innovation within the automotive and mobility sectors, with a focus on sustainability and cutting-edge technological advancements. The global event will host over nine concurrent shows, 20+ conferences, and multiple pavilions.

State-specific sessions will highlight policies and initiatives within the mobility sector, aiming to promote collaboration between industries at regional and national levels.

The Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 seeks to unite the entire mobility value chain with an emphasis on global significance, attracting exhibitors and visitors from across the world.

As an industry-led, government-supported initiative, the event is being coordinated by the Engineering Export Promotion Council of India (EEPC) in collaboration with various industry bodies and partner organisations.

Supported by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, the expo is hosted by key associations including the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA), India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA), Automotive Tyre Manufacturers Association (ATMA), Indian Construction Equipment Manufacturers Association (ICEMA), Nasscom, Indian Steel Association, Material Recycling Association of India, and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).

The event will welcome 5,100 international participants and is expected to attract over 500,000 visitors globally.

In the automotive segment at Bharat Mandapam, electric vehicles will take centre stage. Maruti Suzuki will unveil its first electric vehicle, the SUV eVITARA, while Hyundai Motor India will launch the Creta EV on the first day.

In the luxury segment, Mercedes-Benz will introduce its electric EQS Maybach SUV and showcase the electric concept CLA and G Electric SUV. Similarly, BMW will present the all-electric BMW i7 and launch the all-new BMW X3, among other models. Overall, more than 40 new product launches are expected in this main segment of the expo.

The components show, taking place from 18–21 January 2025 at Yashobhoomi, will feature over 1,000 exhibitors from seven countries, including Japan, Germany, South Korea, Taiwan, and the UK. Additional exhibitors will come from the USA, Israel, and Thailand.

Five country pavilions will be set up, and over 60 new product and technology launches are expected at the components show.
