Prime Minister Narendra Modi will celebrate Diwali with soldiers for the 12th consecutive year, joining naval personnel near the Goa coast to mark the success of Operation Sindoor.
Official details regarding the Prime Minister’s visit have not yet been released. Last year, Modi celebrated the festival in Kutch, Gujarat, where he distributed sweets to personnel from the Border Security Force, Army, Navy, and Air Force.

Over the past 11 years, Modi has most frequently visited Jammu and Kashmir on Diwali, marking the occasion there four times. He has also visited Himachal Pradesh twice, and in 2022, celebrated Diwali with soldiers stationed in Kargil.
The Prime Minister’s annual tradition of celebrating the festival with the armed forces highlights his ongoing engagement with India’s defence personnel and commemorates their contributions and operations across the country.
