Prime Minister Narendra Modi briefly conversed with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken during the East Asia Summit in the Laotian capital.
Modi is currently on a two-day visit to Laos, where he participated in the 21st ASEAN-India and the 19th East Asia summits.
On the sidelines of the East Asia summit, Modi had a meeting with Blinken.
During a meeting on Thursday, Modi and newly-appointed Japanese counterpart Shigeru Ishiba had a "very productive" discussion on enhancing cooperation in various areas, such as infrastructure, connectivity, and defence.
Additionally, Modi met with New Zealand counterpart Christopher Luxon during the ASEAN-India Summit in Vientiane.
