Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday met the NDA’s candidate for the Vice Presidential election, CP Radhakrishnan, in Delhi and lauded his long years of public service and experience.
In a post on X, Modi said, “Met Thiru CP Radhakrishnan Ji. Conveyed my best wishes on his being the NDA’s Vice Presidential nominee. His long years of public service and experience across domains will greatly enrich our nation. May he continue to serve the nation with the same dedication and resolve he has always demonstrated.”

The BJP-led NDA on Sunday announced Maharashtra Governor CP Radhakrishnan as its nominee for the Vice Presidential election. The decision was taken after a meeting of the BJP parliamentary board, which was attended by senior leaders, including Prime Minister Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
The announcement was made by BJP national president and Union Minister JP Nadda, following the resignation of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar on July 21. Dhankhar, 74, stepped down two years into his term, which began in August 2022, citing health reasons.
