Prime Minister Narendra Modi meets an injured victim undergoing treatment at LNJP hospital following a blast near the Red Fort, in New Delhi.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met survivors of the car explosion in New Delhi on Wednesday, and assured them of justice in the case.

At the LNJP Hospital in the capital, the PM said perpetrators behind the heinous conspiracy will be brought to book.

“Went to LNJP Hospital and met those injured during the blast in Delhi. Praying for everyone’s quick recovery. Those behind the conspiracy will be brought to justice!” he said in a post on X.

The Prime Minister returned to India after a two-day trip to Bhutan, after which he went straight to the hospital to meet those injured in the blast, officials said.

He met and interacted with the injured and wished them a speedy recovery, officials said, adding that he was also briefed by officials and doctors at the hospital.

The hospital and its precincts are heavily fortified with security personnel, as is the rest of the capital city, where security forces are deployed in the wake of the car explosion that ripped through a traffic lights area outside the Red Fort on Monday, killing 13 people.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah had visited the hospital to meet the survivors on Monday.

During his Bhutan visit, PM Modi had expressed deep sorrow over the deadly car blast, and assured that the government would take strict action against those responsible.

“The whole country is standing with the affected families in this hour of grief,” he had said, and highlighted the role of the investigative agencies in thoroughly pursuing the case to bring the perpetrators to justice.

“A tragic incident took place in Delhi. I can understand the pain of the families who lost their loved ones,” the PM said in Thimphu, adding, “I have come here with a heavy heart. The whole country is standing with the affected families in this hour of grief. Our agencies will go to the bottom of the controversy. All those responsible will be brought to justice.”
