Prime Minister Narendra Modi, amid his hectic election schedule in Assam, paused to witness the 'Surya Tilak' ritual of Ram Lalla at the Ayodhya Temple on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami.

Sharing snapshots from inside his aircraft on social media, PM Modi was depicted observing a recording of the event, capturing the sun's rays illuminating the forehead of Ram Lalla.

The Prime Minister, barefoot, conveyed that this moment held deep emotional significance for him, resonating with the sentiments of millions of Indians.

PM Modi's social media post highlighted his reverence for the historic event in Ayodhya, expressing hope that the 'Surya Tilak' would infuse the nation with vigour and inspire it to scale new heights of glory.

Ahead of the Assam rally, PM Modi had earlier shared a live link of the Ram Lalla idol at the Ayodhya Temple, highlighting the importance of the day.

The unique ceremony at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya witnessed the idol of Ram Lalla adorned with sunlight on his forehead, known as 'Surya Tilak,' at noon on Ram Navami.

The meticulously planned event by a team of scientists commissioned by the temple trust, involved intricate arrangements of mirrors and lenses.

The 'Surya Tilak' moment brought joy to devotees, echoing chants of 'Jai Shri Ram' across Ayodhya and temples nationwide.

Festivities included fervent song and dance outside the Ram Janambhoomi Mandir, marking the first Ram Navami since PM Modi's Pran Pratishtha of the idol on January 22.

The temple's darshan commenced at 3:30 am, with celebrations broadcasted on approximately 100 LED screens across the city and the trust's social media platforms.
