Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Jharkhand, Gujarat, and Odisha from September 15 to 17, where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for various development projects across these states.

In his three-day visit, the Prime Minister will launch initiatives that focus on infrastructure development, renewable energy, housing for the underprivileged, and rural-urban connectivity, reinforcing the government’s commitment to progress and development.

On September 15, PM Modi is scheduled to travel to Jharkhand, where he will inaugurate the Tatanagar-Patna Vande Bharat Express at the Tatanagar Junction Railway Station.

This is part of the government's push to enhance the country's rail infrastructure and provide faster and more efficient travel options. Along with this, the Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for railway projects worth over Rs 660 crore. These projects aim to improve connectivity and reduce travel time across key routes in Jharkhand.

One of the significant developments in Jharkhand will be the foundation stone laying for the Madhupur Bypass line in the Deoghar district and the Hazaribag Town Coaching Depot.

These projects are expected to ease congestion on existing routes and improve train mobility. The Madhupur Bypass will particularly help in avoiding detentions on the Howrah-Delhi mainline, thus facilitating smoother and faster transportation. The Hazaribag Town Depot will aid in the maintenance of train coaches, further streamlining railway operations in the state.

In addition to the railway developments, PM Modi will also distribute sanction letters to 20,000 beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G).

This initiative is in line with the government's goal of 'Housing for All' and is expected to provide housing assistance to those in need in rural areas. The Prime Minister will also release the first instalment of financial assistance to these beneficiaries.

On September 16, PM Modi will head to Gujarat, where he will inaugurate several important projects and participate in key events. One of the highlights of his visit to Gujarat is the inauguration of the 4th Global Renewable Energy Investors Meet and Expo (RE-INVEST) in Gandhinagar.

This event will bring together global investors, policymakers, and industry leaders to discuss India's progress in renewable energy and explore future opportunities for investment in green energy solutions. Countries like Germany, Australia, Denmark, and Norway are participating as partner nations in this significant event.

PM Modi will also inaugurate the Ahmedabad Metro Rail Project during his visit. He will take a metro ride from Section 1 Metro Station to GIFT City Metro Station as part of the inauguration.

The metro project is expected to revolutionise urban transportation in Ahmedabad, providing a faster, more efficient, and eco-friendly mode of travel for the city’s residents.

Moreover, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for development projects worth over Rs 8,000 crore in Gujarat. These include the quadrupling of the Samakhiali-Gandhidham and Gandhidham-Adipur railway lines, which will enhance rail connectivity and ease congestion. Additionally, iconic roads in Ahmedabad and flyover bridges at key junctions will be constructed to improve urban infrastructure.

PM Modi’s focus on renewable energy will be evident as he inaugurates a 30 MW solar system in Gujarat and a 35 MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Solar PV Project at Kutch Lignite Thermal Power Station. These initiatives underscore the government’s emphasis on promoting clean energy and reducing reliance on fossil fuels.

On the final day of his visit, September 17, PM Modi will travel to Odisha, where he will interact with beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban (PMAY-U). He will lay the foundation stone for various development projects worth over Rs 3,800 crore in Bhubaneswar. These projects aim to boost the state’s infrastructure and provide improved amenities to its citizens.

In Odisha, PM Modi will also launch ‘SUBHADRA,’ a flagship scheme by the Odisha government, focused on empowering women. The scheme aims to benefit over 1 crore women across the state by providing financial assistance directly to their bank accounts.

Under the scheme, women aged 21-60 years will receive Rs 50,000 over a five-year period. During the launch, the Prime Minister will initiate the transfer of funds to the bank accounts of more than 10 lakh women.

Further, PM Modi will distribute the first instalment of assistance to nearly 13 lakh beneficiaries under PMAY-G across 14 states. The Griha Pravesh celebrations for 26 lakh beneficiaries under PMAY (both rural and urban) will also take place, highlighting the government’s commitment to improving housing conditions for the underprivileged.

The Prime Minister’s visit to Odisha will also see the launch of the Awaas+ 2024 App, designed to survey additional households for the PMAY-G scheme. This app will help ensure that more households in need are identified and provided with housing assistance.
