In a grand celebration of the nation's resilience and historical significance, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to participate in the Parakram Diwas festivities at Red Fort at 6:30 PM on Tuesday.

The event, taking place in the Ram Leela Maidan and Madhav Das Park in front of Red Fort, aims to commemorate the legacy of India’s revered freedom fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and his Azad Hind Fauj.

Aligned with the Prime Minister's vision to honor the contributions of those who played pivotal roles in the freedom struggle, the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose has been celebrated as Parakram Diwas since 2021.

This year's program at Red Fort promises to be a multifaceted celebration, seamlessly weaving together historical reflections and vibrant cultural expressions.

Attendees will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in an exhibition featuring rare photographs and documents chronicling the remarkable journey of Netaji and the Azad Hind Fauj. The celebrations are scheduled to continue until January 31st.

Furthermore, during the event, Prime Minister Modi will launch Bharat Parv, a festival that will run from January 23rd to 31st. Bharat Parv aims to showcase the country's rich diversity through Republic Day Tableaux and cultural exhibits.

The event will feature contributions from 26 Ministries and Departments, highlighting citizen-centric initiatives, promoting "vocal for local," and showcasing diverse tourist attractions.

The grand celebration promises to be a fitting tribute to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and a reflection of India's vibrant culture and historical journey towards independence.

On the eve of the celebrations, Prime Minister Modi expressed his sentiments on the social media platform X, stating, "Sending heartfelt greetings to the people of India on Parakram Diwas. On his Jayanti today, we pay tribute to the life and valor of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. His steadfast commitment to our nation's freedom remains a perennial source of inspiration."

Prime Minister Modi, accompanied by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, and other dignitaries, offered floral tributes to Netaji at the Samvidhan Sadan within the Parliament premises. Post the tribute ceremony, the Prime Minister engaged in an interactive session with students at the Sadan.
