PM Modi to open India Mobile Congress 2025 tomorrow

India Mobile Congress 2025 set to begin on Wednesday.


Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the ninth edition of the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2025, Asia’s largest telecom, media, and technology event, on Wednesday, October 8, at around 9:45 a.m., the Prime Minister’s Office announced on Tuesday.

 

Jointly organised by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI), the four-day event will take place from October 8 to 11 under the theme “Innovate to Transform.”

 

The theme underscores India’s expanding role in driving digital transformation and leveraging innovation for both economic and social advancement.

 

The India Mobile Congress 2025 is expected to bring together global leaders, policymakers, industry experts, and innovators to showcase the latest developments in telecommunications and emerging technologies.

 

This year’s edition will highlight cutting-edge areas such as 6G, quantum communications, semiconductors, optical networks, and cyber fraud prevention, reflecting India’s ambition to cement its leadership in next-generation connectivity and digital resilience.

 

Over 400 companies, nearly 7,000 international delegates, and an estimated 1.5 lakh visitors from more than 150 countries are anticipated to attend.

 

The event will feature over 1,600 new technology use-cases spanning 5G and 6G applications, artificial intelligence, smart mobility, cybersecurity, quantum computing, and green technology.

Additionally, more than 100 sessions and 800 speakers from around the globe are scheduled to participate, offering a platform for collaboration and knowledge exchange.

 

Delegations from countries including Japan, Canada, the United Kingdom, Russia, Ireland, and Austria will also take part, reinforcing India’s global partnerships in the technology and telecom sectors.

 

IMC 2025 aims to strengthen India’s leadership in the global digital transformation ecosystem and enhance its influence within the rapidly evolving technology landscape.

 

Union Minister for Communications Jyotiraditya M. Scindia reviewed the final preparations at the IMC 2025 venue on Monday ahead of the Prime Minister’s inauguration. In a symbolic gesture of India’s commitment to sustainable urban mobility, Scindia travelled to and from the venue using the Airport Metro.
