PM Modi to unveil development projects worth Rs 35,700 Cr in Jharkhand today

The PM will dedicate to the nation the Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Ltd (HURL) Sindri Fertiliser Plant, which has been developed at a cost of more than Rs 8900 crore. The plant is a step towards self-sufficiency in the Urea Sector.

Prime Minister Modi is set to dedicate the HURL plant in Sindri, Super Thermal Power Project in Chatra and flag off three new trains in the state.

 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate, dedicate and lay the foundation stone of multiple development projects worth Rs 35,700 crore during his visit to Sindri in Dhanbad district of Jharkhand on March 01. At a public programme in Sindri, the PM will inaugurate, dedicate to the nation and lay the foundation stone of multiple developmental projects related to fertiliser, rail, power, and coal sectors

The PM will dedicate to the nation the Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Ltd (HURL) Sindri Fertiliser Plant, which has been developed at a cost of more than Rs 8900 crore. The plant is a step towards self-sufficiency in the Urea Sector.

 

It will add about 12.7 LMT per annum indigenous urea production in the country benefiting the farmers of the country. This is the third fertiliser plant to be revived in the country, after the revival of fertiliser plants at Gorakhpur and Ramagundam, which were also dedicated to the nation by the Prime Minister in December 2021 and November 2022 respectively.

 

The PM will also inaugurate, dedicate and lay the foundation stone of several rail projects worth more than Rs 17,600 crore in Jharkhand. The projects include the 3rd & 4th lines connecting Sone Nagar-Andal; Tori- Shivpur first & second and Biratoli- Shivpur third railway line (part of Tori- Shivpur Project); Mohanpur – Hansdiha new rail line; Dhanbad-Chandrapura rail line, among others. These projects will expand the rail services in the state and lead to socio-economic development in the region.

 

In the programme, the PM will also flag off three trains including, the Deoghar – Dibrugarh train service, MEMU Train Service between Tatanagar and Badampahar (Daily) and long-haul freight train from Shivpur station.

 

The PM will also dedicate to the nation's important power projects in Jharkhand including Unit 1 (660 MW) of North Karanpura Super Thermal Power Project (STPP), Chatra, which has been developed at more than Rs 7500 crore, the project will lead to improved power supply in the region. It will also boost employment generation and contribute to socioeconomic development in the state. The PM will also dedicate projects related to the coal sector in Jharkhand.

 

Modi is also scheduled to address a huge public meeting of the BJP to be held at Dhanbad (Barwadda) airport.

 

He will be welcomed by party workers at the airport. State General Secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Aditya Sahu said that the PM will come to the public meeting organized by BJP at 11 AM at Barwadda Airport after inaugurating the HURL plant in Sindri and address the masses. He said that lakhs of workers from Dhanbad, Giridih and Koderma Lok Sabha constituencies will participate in the programme.

 

State BJP president Babulal Marandi and senior party leaders today took stock of preparations for the mega rally, which is PM’s first political rally in Jharkhand ahead of the Lok Sabha elections 2024. The State BJP is trying to make the PM's first visit to Jharkhand in the year 2024 a grand event and all preparations are being done accordingly.
