Prime Minister Narendra Modi has achieved a remarkable milestone by once again securing the top spot as the most popular global leader, according to the latest survey by Morning Consult.

 

With an impressive approval rating of 69 percent, Modi stands out prominently on the global stage, surpassing other notable leaders such as US President Joe Biden and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

 

The rankings, published by Morning Consult, reflect data collected from July 8 to July 14. The survey highlights Modi's continued dominance in global leader approval ratings.

 

Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador follows closely in second place with a 63 percent approval rating. This data underscores Modi's consistent popularity and influence in the international arena.

 

Morning Consult's ratings are based on a seven-day moving average of opinions from adults in the countries surveyed. The rankings not only showcase Modi's enduring appeal but also reveal the varied approval ratings of other prominent leaders.

 

For instance, US President Joe Biden holds a 39 percent approval rating, while Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has a 29 percent rating. UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron have approval ratings of 45 percent and 20 percent, respectively.

 

The survey lists the top ten most popular global leaders as of July 2024. The rankings are as follows:

  1. India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi - 69 percent

  2. Mexico's President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador - 63 percent

  3. Argentina's President Javier Milei - 60 percent

  4. Switzerland's Federal Councillor Viola Amherd - 52 percent

  5. Ireland's Simon Harris - 47 percent

  6. UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer - 45 percent

  7. Poland's Donald Tusk - 45 percent

  8. Australia's PM Anthony Albanese - 42 percent

  9. Spain's PM Pedro Sanchez - 40 percent

  10. Italy's PM Giorgia Meloni - 40 percent

The approval ratings reflect a broad spectrum of global political climates and public opinions. At the other end of the spectrum, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida ranks lowest among the 25 leaders surveyed, with an approval rating of just 16 percent.

 

The survey results offer valuable insights into the political landscape across different nations, illustrating varying levels of public support for their leaders. As the list is regularly updated, these ratings provide a snapshot of current global political sentiments.
