Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the exhibition at the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2025 held at Bharat Mandapam on Sunday. During the visit, he interacted with participants and explored the innovative projects they showcased.
The Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue, organised by the Department of Youth Affairs, is a two-day event that commenced on Saturday in New Delhi.
The event opened with a grand inaugural session attended by prominent figures, including Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports Raksha Khadse, industrialist Anand Mahindra, journalist Palki Sharma, ISRO Chairman S Somnath, and several others.
The ceremony began with the traditional lighting of the lamp, accompanied by a floral tribute to Swami Vivekananda, whose vision continues to inspire the nation’s youth.
This dialogue represents a departure from the conventional 25-year-old tradition of the National Youth Festival.
It aligns with the Prime Minister’s vision, as expressed in his Independence Day speech, to engage one lakh young individuals in politics, without political affiliations, and offer them a platform to turn their ideas into tangible contributions towards a developed India.
The programme also features the release of a compilation of essays by participants, addressing ten themes that include technology, sustainability, women’s empowerment, manufacturing, and agriculture.
These essays reflect the innovative thinking and aspirations of India’s youth as they contribute ideas for building a stronger nation.
Adding a unique aspect to the event, the Prime Minister will join the young leaders for lunch. This informal interaction offers participants an opportunity to share their thoughts, experiences, and ambitions directly with him.
Union Minister JP Nadda also lauded the programme, describing it as a vital platform for empowering youth. In a post on social media, he shared his interaction with young leaders from Himachal Pradesh, expressing appreciation for their fresh perspectives and innovative ideas.
Nadda highlighted that initiatives like these foster confidence and encourage active participation in nation-building.
He further acknowledged the energy and dedication of the youth involved, noting their commitment to the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047, as envisioned by Prime Minister Modi.
