Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the Combined Commanders’ Conference (CCC) 2025, which will be hosted by the Armed Forces in Kolkata, West Bengal, on September 15.
The two-day conference is themed ‘Year of Reforms— Transforming for the Future’. The CCC is the Armed Forces’ highest-level brainstorming forum, bringing together the nation’s top civil and military leadership to discuss conceptual and strategic issues.
A statement from the Ministry of Defence added that CCC 2025 will revolve around the themes of Reforms, Transformation & Change, and Operational Preparedness. The themes are a reflection of the Armed Forces' commitment to institutional reforms, deeper integration, and modernisation through technology while being multi-domain operationally high-ready.
Discussions during the conference will strive to further enhance the Armed Forces to be agile and decisive in an increasingly complex geo-strategic landscape. Following its tradition of broad-based engagement, the conference will feature interactive sessions with officers and personnel of differing ranks from the Armed Forces to ensure that field-level reviews flavour the deliberations at the highest level.
The conference will also be attended by the Defence Minister, the National Security Adviser, the Minister of State for Defence, the Chief of Defence Staff, and the Defence Secretary. Secretaries from other Ministries are also expected to be present, along with officers from the three Services and the Integrated Defence Staff.
