Prashant Kishor, the founder of the Jan Suraaj Party, was discharged from Medanta Hospital in Patna on Saturday after his health improved. The party stated that while his health stabilized, his hunger strike continues.
He will announce the next phase of his protest, called Satyagraha, tomorrow evening and meet with people throughout the day.
Kishor, 47, has been on a 'fast-unto-death' since January 2, protesting alleged irregularities in the BPSC exam held last month. He was admitted to the hospital after being arrested on Tuesday for holding a protest in an area where such protests are banned.
He was granted bail later that day and spent a day in the ICU before moving to the general ward.

Despite calls from his party members and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to end the fast, Kishor is continuing his protest. Meanwhile, a seven-member party delegation, led by Manoj Bharti, met Governor Arif Mohammad Khan.
Bharti said the governor expressed concern about Kishor's fast and suggested that Kishor might agree to end it if the chief minister spoke with the aggrieved candidates.
The governor said he would talk to the chief minister to address both the students' concerns and Kishor’s health.
