With less than two weeks remaining for the Bihar Assembly polls, Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor on Sunday launched a veiled attack on RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, questioning the portrayal of the Mahagathbandhan leader as the “Nayak of Bihar.”
Addressing reporters, Kishor asked, “If the people who have ruined Bihar are called heroes, then who is the villain? The people of Bihar know which leaders have brought the state to this condition. They cannot be called the Nayak of Bihar.”
He added that the Jan Suraaj campaign, contesting all 243 assembly seats, would commence after Chhath Puja, with full mobilisation beginning on October 28.
Speaking ahead of campaigning for the Assembly elections scheduled for November 6 and 11, with results on November 14, Kishor said his team was actively meeting people and engaging with colleagues to prepare for the campaign launch.

Meanwhile, Tejashwi Yadav, the Mahagathbandhan Chief Ministerial candidate and leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Legislative Assembly, assured voters that his alliance would fulfil all election promises.
Criticising the NDA, Yadav said, “No one in NDA is saying anything except abusing Lalu Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav. This time, the people of Bihar are impatient for change.”
He also targeted the NDA over unfulfilled commitments, questioning, “What happened to the two crore jobs, Startup India, Make in India? We believe in doing the work. We are telling people everything we will do in the next five years.”
The Mahagathbandhan has officially declared Tejashwi Yadav as the Chief Ministerial face for the Bihar Assembly polls, while Mukesh Sahani of the Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) has been named as the Deputy Chief Ministerial candidate.
