Best tableaux and marching contingents announced for Republic Day.

The results for the best Marching Contingents and Tableaux from the Republic Day Parade 2025 have been officially declared. The event, which took place on January 26, saw a thorough evaluation by three panels of judges.

These panels assessed the performances of the Marching Contingents from various services, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), and auxiliary forces, as well as the tableaux representing different States, Union Territories (UTs), and Ministries of the Central Government.

In the category of the Best Marching Contingent among Services, the Jammu & Kashmir Rifles Contingent emerged as the winner. This contingent was recognised for its impeccable discipline and the precise coordination of its troops.

Meanwhile, the Best Marching Contingent among CAPFs and other auxiliary forces was awarded to the Delhi Police Marching Contingent. The Delhi Police's display of strength and unity was a standout performance on the national stage.

The Top Three Tableaux from the States and UTs were also announced. Uttar Pradesh bagged the first position with its tableau themed “Mahakumbh 2025 - Swarnim Bharat: Virasat aur Vikas”, which highlighted the cultural and spiritual significance of the Mahakumbh Mela.

This tableau beautifully conveyed the fusion of heritage and progress. Tripura secured second place with its tableau “Eternal Reverence: The Worship of 14 Deities in Tripura - Kharchi Puja”, celebrating the state’s rich religious traditions, especially the revered Kharchi Puja.

Andhra Pradesh claimed third place with its tableau “Etikoppaka Bommalu - Eco-Friendly Wooden Toys”, showcasing the state’s sustainable and eco-friendly craftsmanship in the form of unique wooden toys from Etikoppaka.

In addition to these, the Best Tableau from the Central Ministries and Departments went to the Ministry of Tribal Affairs for its tableau titled “Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh”, celebrating the contributions of India's tribal communities.

This year’s event also featured special prizes for a few outstanding entries. The Central Public Works Department’s tableau, which celebrated “75 years of the Constitution of India”, received one such special recognition.

Additionally, the dance group ‘Jayati Jai Mamah Bharatam’ was awarded a special prize for its vibrant and patriotic performance.

Alongside the official panel, an online poll was conducted on the MyGov portal from January 26 to 28, 2025, allowing citizens to vote for their favourite tableau and marching contingent under the “Popular Choice Category”.

The results of this poll revealed a slightly different perspective. In the Services category, the Signals Contingent was the top choice among the public, while in the CAPFs/other auxiliary forces category, the CRPF Marching Contingent received the most votes for its impressive display of solidarity and discipline.

In the States and UTs tableau category, Gujarat’s tableau “Swarnim Bharat: Virasat Aur Vikas” was the public’s top choice, emphasising the state’s vibrant history and its contributions to India’s progress.

Uttar Pradesh, with its Mahakumbh tableau, again garnered public admiration, securing second place in the online poll.

Uttarakhand also made a mark with its tableau “Uttarakhand: Cultural Heritage and Adventure Sports”, which highlighted the state’s blend of natural beauty and adventurous spirit, placing third in the popular choice category.

Finally, the Best Tableau from Central Ministries and Departments in the public poll was awarded to the Ministry of Women & Child Development for its tableau on the “Multifaceted Journey of Women and Children”, showcasing the significant strides made under the Ministry’s schemes aimed at nurturing and empowering women and children.
