BJP Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday morning, describing the meeting as a "detailed and enriching interaction" and a moment he would cherish.
Taking to X after the meeting, Chadha expressed his gratitude for the Prime Minister’s time, noting that he benefited greatly from his "insights and guidance".
The meeting follows Chadha’s high-profile switch from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) to the Bharatiya Janata Party in April, alongside six other Rajya Sabha MPs. Since joining the ruling party, Chadha has taken on new responsibilities in the Upper House, including his appointment as Chairman of the reconstituted Committee on Petitions in May.
Addressing recent scrutiny regarding his delayed public comments on the NEET paper leak controversy, Chadha clarified that his political transition naturally altered his role in parliamentary discussions. Speaking in the Rajya Sabha, he explained that whilst his responsibility in opposition was to question the government, his current role on the treasury benches focuses on delivering solutions. He noted that rather than seeking daily media coverage, his priority remains working behind the scenes to fix systemic flaws.
