Opposition Leader in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, on Thursday thanked Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, top party leadership, and all members of the Congress family on the occasion of his birthday, which fell on Thursday, marking his 55th year.

 

The party colleagues' love and support daily, Gandhi told on social media platform X. "Gratitude to Congress President @kharge ji, our leaders, and all Babbar Sher and Sherni of the Congress family for their good wishes and support. Your strength and love encourage me every day. United we stand – for truth, for justice, for India," the Congress MP tweeted.

 

Photos from the All India Congress Committee (AICC) office depicted party members with excitement waiting to welcome Gandhi when he arrived, an indication of his sustained popularity among party members.

 

Earlier this morning, a number of top Congress leaders, including Kharge and former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, wished birthday greetings to Gandhi, praising his firm commitment to constitutional principles, social justice, and the empowerment of marginalised groups.

 

In a moving message, Kharge saluted Gandhi's empathy and unflinching commitment to the values enshrined in the Constitution. "What makes you stand out is your unwavering commitment to the values of the Constitution and your abiding compassion for social, political and economic justice for the millions whose voice gets silenced too often," the Congress president wrote on X.

 

He also added that Gandhi's actions are a reflection of Congress party ideology. "Your actions always show the Congress party's ideology of unity in diversity, harmony, and compassion. As you go about your mission to take truth to power and stand with the people of your last standing, I wish you a long, healthy, and happy life ahead," Kharge said.

 

The official Congress handle also shared a tribute honoring Gandhi's leadership, referring to him as a "true crusader for justice".

 

"By your courageous integrity and unwavering passion, you remind us all that meaningful change is driven by compassion and empathy. You are a true crusader for justice, a voice for the voiceless, and an indefatigable champion of equality."
