Uddhav Turns 65 Raj Thackeray Extends Birthday Wishes.

Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray on Sunday met Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray at the latter’s residence, Matoshree, to extend birthday wishes.

Sharing visuals of the meeting, Shiv Sena (UBT) wrote on X, “Maharashtra Navnirman Sena president Rajsaheb Thackeray extended birthday greetings to party chief Uddhavsaheb Thackeray.”

The meeting comes shortly after the Thackeray brothers’ rare show of unity during their joint rally on 5 July, where they declared victory against the alleged imposition of Hindi by the Maharashtra government.

At the ‘Awaz Marathicha’ joint rally held at the Worli Dome in Mumbai, the two leaders shared a hug after the state government scrapped two Government Resolutions (GRs) that sought to introduce Hindi as the third language in schools.

Addressing the rally, Uddhav Thackeray had said that he and his brother Raj Thackeray had come together to remain together. “We have come together to stay together,” he said.

Meanwhile, as Uddhav Thackeray turned 65 on Sunday, several opposition leaders extended birthday greetings.

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi wrote on X, “Heartfelt birthday wishes and congratulations to Shiv Sena President and INDIA alliance partner Uddhav Thackeray ji. May you stay healthy, live long, and together we will fight for the interests and rights of the people of Maharashtra.”

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and INDIA bloc ally MK Stalin also greeted him on the occasion and lauded his stand against Hindi imposition.

“Birthday greetings to @ShivSenaUBT_ President, Thiru. Uddhav Thackeray. Your bold resistance to #HindiImposition and your firm stand to uphold Maharashtra’s identity have united the Marathi people in standing up for their language. Wishing you strength as you continue to defend federalism and linguistic dignity,” Stalin posted on X.

Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut too conveyed his wishes, saying, “Shiv Sena chief, my friend Uddhav Thackeray, who stands firm like a lighthouse in every storm, heartfelt birthday wishes to you! Jai Maharashtra!”
