The family of Raja Raghuvanshi, who was killed in Meghalaya while on his honeymoon, has declared that they will petition the Meghalaya High Court to require the accused to submit to a narco-analysis test. On Monday Raja's brother, Vipin Raghuvanshi, made the announcement after Raja showed up for interrogation at the Indore Crime Branch at the request of the Shillong Special Investigation Team (SIT).

Recently in the reports the motive behind Raja's murder is still unknown, according to Vipin, who told reporters that he thinks a narco test could help find the answer. Since the motive behind the crime—why Raja was killed—is still unknown, I will request the accused's narco examination and file an appeal with the Meghalaya High Court. As a result, I will request a Narco test from the High Court," he stated.

According to the recent update, Shillong police asked Vipin about the jewellery and decorations that were given at Raja and Sonam Raghuvanshi's wedding. "Shillong police called me today to question me about the jewellery and decorations we made as offerings at Raja and Sonam's wedding. I've sent in every picture of the jewellery we had to offer," he said.

Additionally, he told the police that Sonam had taken all of the wedding jewellery with her. "I informed them that Sonam left all of the jewellery here. I have sent all the pictures, but they haven't shown me anything they discovered. I'm not sure how much jewellery the police have found. I don't know if all of the ornaments were located.  They will now check to see if the recovered items match," he continued.

Recently, Vipin expressed faith in the Shillong police's efforts despite the lingering doubts. "I am happy with Shillong police's investigation. "There is no question about their investigation or operation," he stated.

So far in the murder case eight people have been taken into custody in relation to the case. Raja's wife, Sonam Raghuvanshi, and four other key suspects—Akash Rajput, Vishal Singh Chauhan, Raj Singh Kushwaha, and Anand—are among them. On June 2, the body of Raja Raghuvanshi was found in a gorge close to Sohra (Cherrapunji). Later, his wife Sonam was discovered close to a roadside restaurant on the Varanasi-Ghazipur highway.
