Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday affirmed that all targets under Operation Sindoor were destroyed with precision as planned, hours after the Indian military struck nine terrorist camps located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
Speaking at the inauguration of 50 infrastructure projects by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) across six states and two Union territories, Singh stated, “India has exercised its right to respond to the attack on its soil. Our action has been carried out thoughtfully and in a measured manner.”
Referring to the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam that claimed 26 civilian lives, Singh emphasised, “We only killed those who killed our innocent.”
He underlined that the purpose of the operation was to break the morale of terrorists by targeting only their camps and infrastructure. “This action has been limited strictly to terrorist facilities,” Singh said.
Praising the armed forces, the Defence Minister said the Indian Army acted with “precision, alertness and sensitivity” during the mission. “We ensured that no civilian population was impacted. We have acted responsibly and sensitively,” he added.
He further said that through Operation Sindoor, the Indian forces had delivered a strong and appropriate response by destroying terror training camps. “I salute the bravery of our armed forces,” Singh concluded.
