Raut Claims Amit Shah Busy Finishing Opposition Having No Idea of Kashmir Terror Attacks.

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut criticised Union Home Minister Amit Shah over the recent terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir, accusing Shah of focusing on eliminating political opposition rather than addressing terrorism.

Raut claimed that under Shah's tenure, there has been a significant increase in casualties among security forces and civilians in the region. The attacks in Doda and Kathua on Tuesday night have intensified this criticism.

Raut stated that during Shah's time as Home Minister, terrorism has persisted in Jammu and Kashmir and Manipur. He alleged that news of these incidents has often been suppressed from public awareness.

According to Raut, Shah's preoccupation with political agendas has diverted his attention from combating terrorism, leading to a rise in violence and deaths. He emphasised that if Shah redirected his efforts towards tackling terrorism, it would benefit the nation.

In his remarks, Raut also called on the chief ministers of Bihar and Andhra Pradesh, Nitish Kumar and Chandrababu Naidu, to demand Shah's resignation. He argued that the safety and security of the country are at risk under Shah's continued leadership in the Home Ministry. Raut pointed to a recent Naxal attack on the convoy of the Manipur Chief Minister as an example of the growing threat.

The recent terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir have been alarming. On Tuesday, two separate incidents were reported from Doda and Kathua. In Doda, five jawans and a sub-divisional special police officer (SDPO) were injured in an encounter after terrorists opened fire at a joint police and Rashtriya Rifles checkpost.

In Kathua, one Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan and a terrorist were killed in a confrontation that began when militants attacked a house in Saida Sukhal village.

These attacks come on the heels of a tragic incident on Sunday, where at least nine people were killed after terrorists opened fire on a bus carrying pilgrims in Reasi.

The bus plunged into a gorge following the attack, resulting in multiple casualties. The Jammu and Kashmir police have indicated that the terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba is suspected to be behind these attacks.

In response to the recent surge in violence, the Jammu and Kashmir police have formed 11 teams to investigate the attacks. Additionally, a team from the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has been deployed to assess the situation in Reasi. The NIA’s forensic team is actively working on collecting evidence to support the investigation.

The criticism from Sanjay Raut reflects a broader concern about the handling of security in regions prone to terrorist activities. It underscores the need for a focused and effective approach to counter-terrorism, emphasising that political priorities should not overshadow national security efforts.

As the investigation into these attacks progresses, the effectiveness of current strategies and leadership in mitigating such threats will continue to be a topic of scrutiny and debate.
