RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat Urges Future Generations to Protect Hard-Won Independence.

On the 78th Independence Day, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat hoisted the national flag at the RSS Headquarters in Nagpur. In his address, Bhagwat emphasised the responsibility of future generations to safeguard the independence achieved through the sacrifices of countless individuals.

Bhagwat reflected on the 78 years of freedom, acknowledging the immense sacrifices made by those who fought for India’s independence. He stressed that while the generation that fought for freedom is no longer with us, it is the duty of the upcoming generations to protect and cherish the freedom that was hard-earned.

Addressing the political situation in Bangladesh, Bhagwat expressed concern for the Hindu community there, who he said are enduring hardship due to ongoing disturbances without fault of their own.

He highlighted India’s tradition of helping those in need, noting that despite global challenges, India has not engaged in aggression but rather extended assistance to others facing difficulties.

Earlier, a meeting took place between RSS and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders to discuss the plight of minorities in Bangladesh, including Hindus, Sikhs, and Buddhists.

The leaders discussed organising a silent protest and a “Nari Shakti March” to condemn the violence against these communities. The meeting, held in New Delhi, lasted over six hours and focused on strategies for protecting and rehabilitating affected Hindus in Bangladesh. Plans were made to raise the issue on the international stage, seeking global attention and support.

The proposed protest is set to begin at 11 AM from Mandi House and will proceed to Jantar Mantar, involving women from various sectors. The RSS, VHP, BJP, and other organisations have already condemned the attacks on minorities and urged the Bangladeshi interim government to take necessary actions.
