The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is set to hold its annual Akhil Bharatiya Samanvay Baithak Meeting in Palakkad, Kerala, from August 31 to September 2, 2024. This three-day meeting will bring together key officials from various RSS-affiliated organisations to discuss a range of issues related to social transformation and national interests.
The Akhil Bharatiya Samanvay Baithak, a significant event in the RSS calendar, is held once a year. The previous meeting took place in Pune in September 2023.
The upcoming gathering in Palakkad will see representatives from diverse organisations sharing updates and experiences related to their activities. The discussions will cover the current national situation, recent significant events, and various aspects of social change.
One of the main objectives of the meeting is to enhance coordination and cooperation among RSS-affiliated organisations on issues of national importance. Topics likely to be discussed include the recent violent incidents against Hindus in Bangladesh, the rehabilitation of displaced Hindus from Bangladesh, demographic changes in Bengal, and the implementation of a Uniform Civil Code (UCC).
There may also be a focus on the swift implementation of the UCC in BJP-ruled states following its introduction in Uttarakhand in October, aiming for its nationwide adoption.
The meeting will be attended by prominent RSS leaders, including Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat and Sarkaryawah Dattatreya Hosabale, along with all six Sah-Sarkaryawahs and other senior functionaries. Leaders, organisational ministers, and key officials from 32 RSS-affiliated organisations will also be present.
These include the Rashtriya Sevika Samiti, Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, Vishva Hindu Parishad, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Bharatiya Janata Party, Bharatiya Kisan Sangh, Vidya Bharati, and Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh.
The meeting will provide a platform for these leaders to discuss and strategize on various issues affecting the nation and work towards strengthening the coordination among RSS-inspired groups.
The outcomes of the discussions are expected to shape future actions and policies in line with the RSS's vision for social transformation and national development.
