Congress leader Sachin Pilot on Monday emphasized that anti-Naxal operations have to be carried out in a proper and transparent way, untainted by political motives.
Addressing reporters at Raipur's Swami Vivekananda Airport as he began his two-day Chhattisgarh visit, Pilot underscored that internal security should not be made a tool for political scoring points.

Reacting to Union Home Minister Amit Shah's recent assertion that the anti-Naxal operations will continue in the monsoon season, Pilot said, "The Congress has always been strongly opposed to violence and extremism. Our leaders have even sacrificed their lives for the security of the nation and the state.
He said, "Whatever needs to be done must be done, but it must be fair, free of any political interference and transparent. All must be brought into confidence.
Referring to Naxalism as a threat to Chhattisgarh as well as to the other states that have been hit, Pilot stated the problem requires collective determination.

"Everyone must come together to root out Naxalism. Action needs to be taken after proper deliberation, and it needs to be transparent and accountable. The people should gain from the result, and the efforts need to show on the ground and not through constant orations," he said.
Pilot, Congress in-charge for Chhattisgarh, also summarized his visit. In the next two days, he will preside over a series of meetings with party state unit leaders to review the functioning of different departments and chalk out a strategy forward.
He reiterated that the Congress is dedicated to strengthening the organisational structure. "Our leaders, Mallikarjun Kharge ji and Rahul Gandhi ji, have devoted the year 2025 to restructuring the party organisation. We want to organise the Congress at the booth level all the way to the state level," he said.

The meetings on Monday, he noted, will explore the changes required within the state unit and discuss future strategy. “We are holding back-to-back sessions to chart a new direction for the party,” he said.
Pilot also asserted that he would be sitting with Congress MLAs on Monday evening to plot the strategy for the monsoon session of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly. The agenda will be to find ways to question and counter the BJP in the session.
