The Supreme Court of India is set to host a special screening of the critically acclaimed film ‘Laapataa Ladies’ on Friday, as part of the activities marking its seventy-fifth year of establishment.
The film, which explores the theme of gender equality, will be showcased in the Auditorium at the Administrative Building Complex.
Chief Justice of India D.Y. Chandrachud, along with other judges and their spouses, is expected to attend the screening, which is scheduled from 4:15 pm to 6:20 pm.
The event will also see the presence of noted actor and producer Aamir Khan, along with Kiran Rao, the film’s director.
The top court's registry officials have also been invited to join the screening, highlighting the significance of the event within the judicial community.
