Amid reports of NEET paper leak from Hazaribagh, a team of Bihar Economic Offences Unit has arrested six accused in the NEET paper leak case from Deoghar. All these accused lived in a rented house in front of AIIMS in Devipur police station area.
At the time of arrest, the Patna Police had informed Deoghar Police that those arrested were cyber thugs and had been caught in the same case, but on
Saturday it was found that all were arrested in the paper leak case.
According to sources, the youths arrested include Chintu Kumar alias Sintu, Prashant Kumar, Panku Kumar, Paramjit Singh, Baldev Singh and Kaju Kumar.
All the arrested accused persons are said to be residents of Nalanda in Bihar. They were living in a rented house of one Jhunnu Singh of Deoghar.
One of the youths caught was working as a security guard in the nearby AIIMS. He was also a resident of Nalanda and was previously acquainted with the other
arrested individuals. He rented the house where the rest were also living. They were living here as labourers.
Sikander Yadavendra, the arrested accused of NEET paper leak, has revealed during interrogation that he had bought NEET papers from Nitish Kumar and Amit Anand for Rs 30-32 lakh.
He later sold the paper to Abhishek Kumar of Ranchi, Ayush Kumar of Danapur Patna, Anurag Yadav of Samastipur, Shivanandan Kumar of Gaya for Rs 40 lakh each. Moreover, the four candidates were made to memorise the paper overnight on May 4, a night before the NEET exam, at Ramakrishna Nagar in Patna.
