Former Union Minister and senior BJP leader Smriti Irani today said that the 11 years of BJP government in the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi have resulted in such commendable work for the people that even the Opposition is now compelled to praise the Modi government.
Speaking at a programme in Ranchi, Jharkhand on Tuesday to mark the completion of 11 years of the Modi government, Irani said that ‘Operation Sindoor’ has struck at the roots of terrorism flourishing in Pakistan.
“Today, the world has seen the consequences of looking at India with hostile intent. A rising India, a changing India, a self-reliant and self-respecting India has emerged,” she added.
Irani further said that those who once predicted rivers of blood after the abrogation of Article 370 witnessed that not even a single mosquito was harmed.
Speaking as the chief guest on the occasion, Irani said that with the support and cooperation of all, 11 years of an unparalleled Modi government are being celebrated. The third consecutive term of the Modi government is a blessing from the people of India.
She stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the BJP government is not driven by power, but by a commitment to serve the poor, farmers, and women in rural areas. The BJP is devoted to the nation's progress, not political dominance.
Irani said that the Modi government is dedicated to the welfare of the poor, women, and farmers, with crores of rupees being invested in their development.
She remarked that the country had previously seen Congress events where food plates costing ₹5,000 to ₹10,000 were served, whereas today the Modi government is ensuring food reaches the plates of 81 crore poor citizens.
Irani emphasised that the Modi government is committed to upholding the nation’s honour while ensuring the welfare of the poor and the empowerment of women.
