Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur conveyed an optimistic forecast, declaring that India is on track to achieve developed nation status well before 2047, attributing this trajectory to government initiatives and collaborative efforts across sectors, including industry.

Speaking at the Viksit Bharat @ 2047 conclave organized by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), Thakur lauded India's remarkable economic ascent, transforming from a member of the "fragile five" economies to a top-five contender, crediting Prime Minister Narendra Modi's decisive policies.

Highlighting the journey from adversity to advancement, Thakur emphasized the significant shift witnessed since 2014, citing challenges such as corruption and delivery inefficiencies prevalent during the previous administration. He underscored the transformative strides made under the Modi administration, from a "lost decade" to an era marked by technological advancement.

The minister underscored the government's commitment to fulfilling promises made to citizens, resulting in tangible benefits reaching intended recipients. He touted a decade of unprecedented infrastructure development, boasting achievements in constructing national highways, airports, premier educational and medical institutions, metro networks, and rural connectivity projects.

Thakur commended taxpayers for their contribution, emphasizing the prudent utilization of funds under the prime minister's stewardship, ensuring inclusive growth across all segments of society.

Demonstrating faith in collaborative progress, Thakur reiterated the mantra of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas" (Together, for everyone's growth, with everyone's trust), emphasizing teamwork as instrumental in India's transformation.

Looking ahead, Thakur rallied support for Prime Minister Modi's vision, expressing confidence in securing a third term in office. He urged industry stakeholders to engage with the government, facilitating a constructive dialogue to shape future policies conducive to sustained growth.

As India embarks on this journey towards accelerated development, Thakur's assertions underscore the nation's resilience, collaborative spirit, and unwavering commitment to inclusive progress.
