The Indian Army’s Trishakti Corps recently conducted a live-fire exercise in Sikkim, further demonstrating the force’s operational excellence, adaptability, and battle readiness.

This crucial exercise was designed to validate the Army’s capacity for rapid deployment and precise strike operations, even in the challenging high-altitude terrain of the region.

During the exercise, the soldiers showcased their readiness for a variety of battlefield challenges, emphasising the importance of firepower coordination and precision engagement.

The Trishakti Corps' successful demonstration highlights the Indian Army’s ability to conduct complex operations in diverse environments, particularly the high-altitude conditions that require specialised skills and equipment.

The Army's commitment to maintaining high standards of efficiency and readiness across all terrains was clearly evident throughout the exercise.

It is part of the broader effort to continually enhance the Indian Army’s operational capabilities, ensuring that it remains well-prepared to face evolving security challenges, no matter the landscape.

The exercise underscored the Army's focus on honing the skills necessary to succeed in modern warfare, particularly in areas that demand both physical endurance and tactical excellence.

Meanwhile, in another initiative contributing to national welfare, Assam Rifles has played a significant role in promoting awareness about the dangers of drug abuse.

On February 3, the Assam Rifles organised an awareness lecture at Thambal Marik Degree College in Oinam, Bishnupur District, Manipur.

The session, which was attended by students and teachers, aimed to educate the youth about the harmful effects of drug addiction and the importance of maintaining a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.

The lecture included information on the severe consequences of substance abuse on an individual’s physical and mental health. It also highlighted the legal ramifications and preventive measures that can be taken to combat drug addiction.

The session concluded with a pledge taken by the students, committing to stay away from drugs and contribute to a healthier community.

The Assam Rifles continues to play a proactive role in strengthening social responsibility and promoting youth empowerment. Through such initiatives, they aim to guide young minds away from harmful behaviours and ensure the overall wellbeing of the future generations.

Their dedication to the nation’s youth is a vital part of the broader efforts to safeguard the future and build a more disciplined, responsible society.

Further reinforcing its commitment to the nation’s youth, Assam Rifles also organised a weapon display programme at Churachandpur on February 3.

The event, held for the NCC cadets attending their Annual Training Camp, aimed to familiarise the young cadets with the weapons used by the Indian Armed Forces.

A total of 98 cadets, including 82 girls and 16 boys, participated in the session, where they had the opportunity to observe and learn about various military weaponry.

The weapon display was followed by an interactive session, where the cadets could engage with Assam Rifles personnel and learn about the evolution and significance of the displayed weapons.

This initiative is an important step in instilling values of patriotism, leadership, and social responsibility among the youth. By exposing these young minds to the tools of national defence, Assam Rifles seeks to inspire them and motivate future leaders of the country.
