Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami attended the Uttarakhand Diwas Samaroh at the India International Trade Fair held at Pragati Maidan on Sunday.
During the event, Dhami shared that his government has set up the Uttarakhand Pravasi Parishad to help migrants from the state contribute to its development.
He highlighted that wherever people from Uttarakhand go, they always keep their culture, traditions, and food alive.
"Aipan (a local art form) and Ganga Dussehra are always celebrated in their homes. The international fair offers us a great chance to showcase our culture, handicrafts, and rich heritage to the world. The best products from the state are being displayed in various stalls at the fair," he said.
Dhami also discussed several state and central government schemes aimed at improving people's lives.
"The dream of reaching the mountains by train is becoming a reality with the construction of the Rishikesh Karnaprayag railway line. The Udaan scheme is launching helicopter services at many places in the state. A satellite center of AIIMS is also being built in Udham Singh Nagar. Women in Uttarakhand are actively participating in making the state self-reliant," he added.
