Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami recently expressed strong confidence in the upcoming elections, particularly the bypoll in Kedarnath. He believes that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will secure victory, emphasising that voters in Maharashtra and Jharkhand will also lean towards a "double-engine government."
This term refers to a government formed by the BJP both at the state and central levels, which, according to Dhami, ensures better development and governance.
In a statement made on Tuesday, CM Dhami stated that the people of Maharashtra and Jharkhand are likely to choose the BJP-led coalition for its commitment to progress.
He pointed out that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country has witnessed significant advancements, and he urged voters to continue this momentum by supporting the BJP.
The by-election in Kedarnath is set for November 20, with results expected to be announced on November 23.
Dhami underscored the importance of this election, asserting that it is not just a local contest but a reflection of the people's desire for development. He believes that the residents of Kedarnath will prioritise development and good governance when casting their votes.
The Chief Minister’s optimism extends beyond Kedarnath. He confidently stated that the voters in both Maharashtra and Jharkhand would favour the BJP’s policies and its vision for the future.
The elections in Jharkhand will be conducted in two phases on November 13 and November 20, while Maharashtra will hold a single-phase election on November 20, coinciding with the Kedarnath bypoll. The counting of votes for all three elections is scheduled for November 23.
Dhami’s remarks highlight the BJP’s strategy to emphasise the idea of a strong and stable government that promotes development. The party’s message focuses on the achievements at both the state and national levels, urging voters to consider the benefits of continuity in governance.
