Veterans who are awarded—what for?
Colonel Pradeep Kapoor (Retd) was recognised for his lifelong service to the visually impaired through his leadership in multiple NGOs for the blind, dedicating over 25 years to disability welfare and research.
 
Colonel Ripu Daman Singh (Retd) was honoured for his outstanding work in heritage preservation as the Convenor of the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage INTACH Ambala Chapter, which has been adjudged the Best Chapter in India for six consecutive years.
 
 
Lance Havildar Nirmail Singh (Retd) received the award for his relentless social service through his NGO, supporting underprivileged families, assisting disabled soldiers and organising community welfare initiatives.
 
Naik Paramjeet Singh (Retd) was felicitated for mentoring and guiding over 8,000 youth into the Defence and Paramilitary Services through his Shaurya Sainik Academy, while also extending special support to Veer Naris and Brave hearts' families.
