NCC Republic Day Camp 2025 begins with Vice President’s address.

On January 5, 2025, Vice President of India, Jagdeep Dhankhar, inaugurated the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Republic Day Camp 2025 in Delhi Cantt.

This event marks the beginning of an important occasion where 2,361 cadets, including 917 girls, from 17 NCC Directorates across all states and union territories of the country, will participate in various activities leading up to the Republic Day celebrations.

The camp will culminate with the Prime Minister's Rally on January 27, 2025.

The cadets will take part in an array of activities during the camp, which includes cultural performances and institutional training competitions.

The occasion saw a contingent of NCC cadets from all three wings – Army, Navy, and Air Force – presenting a ceremonial "Guard of Honour" to the Vice President upon his arrival.

In his address, the Vice President emphasised the importance of commitment to national transformation. He shared his vision for the future of India, which he believes must rest on five core principles, or "Panch-Prana."

These pillars include social harmony, family enlightenment with a focus on nurturing patriotic values at the grassroots level, environmental protection, honouring the country's civilisation ethos, and promoting swadeshi and self-reliance.

“These Panch-Prana,” said the Vice President, “flow through the veins of our society and forge an unstoppable nationalistic spirit. They weave together individual responsibility, traditional values, and environmental awareness, which will guide India’s journey towards cultural pride, unity, and self-reliance.”

Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar further urged the NCC cadets to be dedicated to nation-building. He reminded them that their commitment to the motherland should be unwavering, as it forms the foundation of the nation’s future.

He noted that the youth of today would play a crucial role in shaping India’s destiny towards its centenary of independence in 2047.

The Vice President, along with other distinguished guests, was then treated to a vibrant cultural programme performed by the cadets. The event concluded with him congratulating the participants for their involvement in the Republic Day Camp and offering his best wishes for the success of the activities ahead.
