A bomb threat was made to Vice President CP Radhakrishnan's home in Chennai on Friday. The threat came in an email to the Tamil Nadu DGP office.
After the alert, a bomb squad and police teams rushed to the vice president's home. They did a full search. Officials said the threat was fake. Police are now finding out who sent the email and tracing those responsible.
A bomb threat email was sent to famous music director Ilaiyaraaja's studio in T Nagar, Chennai. It went to the Tamil Nadu DGP office too. The email said a bomb was planted there.
Police teams and the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) searched the studio and nearby areas carefully. After checking, they said no bomb was found. The threat was a hoax.
Last week, Chennai Police got a bomb threat call for actor-politician Vijay's home in Neelangarai, Tamil Nadu. The caller, from Kanyakumari, called emergency number 100. He warned that a bomb would be planted at Vijay's home if he held any more public meetings. Police later said the threat was a hoax.
