A shocking murder case from Gujarat’s Bhavnagar district has left the local community stunned after a labourer was found dead with severe injuries. Police have arrested the victim’s wife, her lover, and his friend, who allegedly conspired to kill the husband so the couple could start a new life together.

 

The body of the deceased, identified as Kamlesh Dudhiya, was discovered two days ago on the outskirts of Bhavnagar. Villagers spotted the body and immediately informed the police, who reached the location and sent it for a post-mortem examination.

 

According to officials, the body bore multiple injury marks, indicating that Kamlesh had been brutally assaulted before his death. Police registered a murder case and began an investigation into the incident.

 

During the initial questioning, Kamlesh’s younger brother told police that the couple had been quarrelling frequently over the past few months. Based on his statement, officers began to suspect Kamlesh’s wife, Mamta, and shifted the focus of their inquiry towards her.

Further investigation revealed that Mamta had been in a relationship with a man named Aman, a resident of Kevalani. The affair had reportedly caused repeated disputes between Mamta and Kamlesh, straining their marriage.

 

Police said that Mamta had confided in Aman that she wanted to marry him, but could not do so while Kamlesh was alive. Aman, along with his friend Amit, then allegedly plotted Kamlesh’s murder with Mamta.

 

Investigators believe that the trio lured Kamlesh out of the house under false pretences, killed him, and later dumped his body outside the village to make it appear as though he had been attacked by unidentified assailants.

 

After examining phone records and questioning Mamta and Aman, the police were able to piece together the events leading to the killing. Confronted with evidence, all three accused confessed to the crime during interrogation.

 

Police have arrested Mamta, Aman, and Amit, and charged them with murder and criminal conspiracy. Authorities said the investigation remains ongoing to determine whether any other individuals were involved or aware of the plan.
