Yogi holds trade investment meetings with Japanese firms in Tokyo

The chief minister convened a meeting with senior executives of Konoike Transport Co, Ltd, to discuss the expansion of the company's presence in Uttar Pradesh in logistics parks, warehousing, and multimodal transport infrastructure.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath meets Ishiguro Norihiko, chairman and CEO of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), during his visit to Japan, in Tokyo, Japan. The two discussed economic cooperation and investment opportunities in Uttar Pradesh, officials said.


Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is in Tokyo, Japan, for an official visit aimed at attracting investments and industrial cooperation. Adityanath was received in the capital city by Yamanashi prefecture vice governor Junichi Ishidera and members of the Indian diaspora.
 
The chief minister convened a meeting with senior executives of Konoike Transport Co, Ltd, to discuss the expansion of the company's presence in Uttar Pradesh in logistics parks, warehousing, and multimodal transport infrastructure.
 
He further invited the firm to explore opportunities in medical devices manufacturing, leveraging the Dedicated Freight Corridor network and the Medical Devices Park in UP, officials said.
 
In today’s schedule, he will further hold meetings with Kazuki Shimizu, Managing Officer and Chief Operating Officer of the Infrastructure Projects Business Unit of Mitsui & Co, and other senior executives to discuss infrastructure collaboration. He is also scheduled to meet top representatives of Denso Corporation to explore cooperation in the automotive and electronics sectors.
 
 
A meeting with Chairman Ishiguro Norihiko of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) is also on the agenda to promote trade and investment partnerships.
 
The chief minister will deliver the keynote address highlighting the state's industrial policy, infrastructure push, and its vision of becoming a one-trillion-dollar economy, officials said.
 
India's Ambassador to Japan Nagma M. Mallick also welcomed the chief minister, the Indian Embassy said in a post on X.
 
This is Adityanath's first visit to Japan and forms part of his two-nation tour, which officials said is focused on deepening strategic and economic ties and positioning Uttar Pradesh as a global investment destination.
