In a powerful display of civic duty, sports legends Kapil Dev, Gautam Gambhir, and Babita Phogat were among the notable figures who cast their votes in New Delhi during the sixth phase of the Lok Sabha elections.

The legendary cricketer expressed his joy in participating in the democratic process, emphasizing the importance of choosing the right representatives for each constituency.
"What we can do as citizens is more important than what the government can," Kapil Dev said.
Earlier in the day, former cricketer Gautam Gambhir and former wrestler Babita Phogat also cast their votes in their respective constituencies.
The sixth phase of the ongoing Lok Sabha elections kicked off early Saturday morning, covering 58 parliamentary constituencies across six states and two union territories under tight security.
By 9 am, voter turnout in Delhi's constituencies was recorded as follows: Chandni Chowk at 7.83%, East Delhi at 8.82%, New Delhi at 7.04%, North East Delhi at 10.15%, North West Delhi at 8.99%, South Delhi at 8.88%, and West Delhi at 9.72%.
