AAP stands firm: Kejriwal to remain CM, party mobilises 'Main Bhi Kejriwal' campaign

AAP leaders reaffirm their commitment to launch another 'Main Bhi Kejriwal' campaign.

In the wake of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's recent arrest in an excise policy case, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convened a crucial meeting on Sunday to chart its future course of action.

At the forefront of their decisions was the resolute commitment to launch another 'Main Bhi Kejriwal' campaign, affirming solidarity with their incarcerated leader.

Presided over by Aam Aadmi Party national general secretary (organisation) Dr. Sandeep Pathak, the meeting marked the party's first significant gathering post-Kejriwal's arrest.

It was unequivocally decided that Kejriwal would not relinquish his role as the Chief Minister of Delhi.

The party, ministers, MLAs, and supporters pledged to stand by Kejriwal, continuing to heed his directives even from behind bars, as articulated in a statement released by the party.

Under the banner of the 'Main Bhi Kejriwal' campaign, the AAP announced plans to distribute stickers bearing the slogan, which will be prominently displayed on residences, autorickshaws, and hoardings across the city.

Additionally, attendees of the upcoming INDIA bloc rally on March 31 were urged to affix 'Main Bhi Kejriwal' stickers on their vehicles as a mark of solidarity.

Anticipating the INDIA bloc's "maha rally" at Delhi's Ramlila Maidan, scheduled for March 31, Pathak revealed that the party had received directives from Kejriwal himself to ensure the event's success.

To galvanize support, preparatory meetings are slated to take place in all assembly constituencies on March 26, followed by zonal-level meetings with MLAs and councillors on March 27-28, aimed at mobilizing a significant turnout for the rally.

Pathak underscored the party's resolve in the face of adversity, characterizing Kejriwal's incarceration as a BJP-led conspiracy to destabilise the AAP. He adamantly declared that no internal rifts would fracture the party's unity, emphasizing that Kejriwal's confinement only strengthens their resolve.

In a defiant stance, Pathak asserted that Kejriwal's imprisonment only amplifies his potency as a political force, warning adversaries of an unwavering resistance. With a shift in the locus of command from Civil Lines to the jail cell, Pathak expressed confidence in Kejriwal's unwavering dedication to the party's cause, despite his constrained circumstances.

Kejriwal's arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday sent shockwaves through the political landscape, yet the AAP remains undeterred, poised to confront the challenges ahead with unwavering resolve.
