With this loss, India’s TT squad is out of Paris Olympics. Indian men squad was ousted when they lost their pre-quarters against China with a score of 0-3.

In the first match of the Indian women’s table tennis team quarterfinals between Indian paddlers Sreeja Akula, and Archana Kamath and German players Shan Xiaona and Yuan Wan, Germany takes the lead by 3-2, having stunned Archana and Sreeja throughout the match.

Germany set its pace in the first set, by winning the set with a score of 11-5, and the match continued on the side of Germany until India took the lead for the first time in second set by 6-4, however, facing the hard battle and coming out of the hurdles of three game points, India finally took the second set lead.

Manika took the lead in the first set by 11-8; however, Kaufmann won the second and third set by 11-5 and 11-7, putting Germany in the lead again. The fate continues in the fourth set and Germany won the second match having the country on 2-0 lead.

In the third match India won against Germany as Archana ruled the match against Shan Xiaona with a score of 19-17, 1-11, 11-5, 11-9.

Germany’s Kaufmann fought back hard and found their pace again and defeated India’s Sreeja Akula with a score of 2-0.
