Union Minister Amit Shah addressed Arvind Kejriwal's claim that Ramesh Bidhuri would be the BJP's chief ministerial face for the upcoming Delhi assembly election.
Shah questioned how Kejriwal could announce BJP's CM candidate ahead of the polls, accusing the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Congress of making empty promises to win votes.
"Congress and 'AAP-da' cannot benefit the people of Delhi. Only the BJP can bring real progress. Their daily promises are only vote-bank tactics. Can Arvind Kejriwal decide the BJP’s CM face?" Shah said, as quoted by ANI. He assured that if BJP comes to power, no welfare scheme for the poor would be stopped.
BJP’s manifesto: A guarantee of solutions
Amit Shah highlighted that BJP’s election manifesto would address the real concerns of Delhi's residents, particularly slum dwellers. He stated that the party has carefully noted their grievances and shared them with BJP President JP Nadda and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
"Our manifesto will solve your problems. Unlike AAP's promises, BJP delivers what it commits. This is Prime Minister Modi's guarantee," Shah asserted.
Criticism of Kejriwal’s past remarks
Shah also criticised Kejriwal for allegedly opposing the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, saying he had suggested building toilets instead.
"When BJP announced the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, Kejriwal said toilets should be built instead. After 500 years, BJP fulfilled the promise of building the Ram Mandir. Under PM Modi, 3.58 crore houses have been provided to the poor, and slum dwellers will also receive permanent homes," Shah added, accusing Kejriwal of hypocrisy.

Bidhuri, a BJP candidate, will contest against AAP’s Atishi in the Kalkaji constituency.
