“Besides this, conditions such as income limits, children's education, and malnutrition have been imposed. The government is deliberately imposing such conditions so that most women are automatically excluded from the beneficiary list,” he added.

Taking a dig at the BJP government, Haryana’s Leader of the Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda said the party had earlier lured the women by promising them to give Rs 2100 but now are imposing condition after condition. Hooda accused BJP of deceiving the women in the name of the Lado Lakshmi scheme.

Further speaking on the matter, Hooda said, “in 2024-25, 2.13 crore people in Haryana were in the BPL (Below Poverty Line) category, meaning that approximately 85 lakh women should have benefited from this scheme. However, the government is currently only talking about giving the amount to 8 lakh women. Even then, it is now being said that women will only receive Rs. 1100, and Rs. 1000 will be deposited.”

“Besides this, conditions such as income limits, children's education, and malnutrition have been imposed. The government is deliberately imposing such conditions so that most women are automatically excluded from the beneficiary list,” he added.

Earlier, CPLO employees working in the Panchayat Department submitted a memorandum to Hooda, informing him that their recruitment for the CPLO post was last held in December 2023 as per advertisement number 01/19-21 HPPA-07. A form fee of Rs. 1000 was charged, and both preliminary and main examinations were conducted but at the result time, the recruitment process was changed, according to which the CPLO post was divided into two parts — ASK Operator and LCLO.

ASK Operators were paid a fixed salary of Rs 6,000 a month, while those in LCLO roles were paid only on commission. Staff were issued appointment letters for the wrong jobs, which is against the rules and the law.

Hooda stated that the government must listen to the workers' concerns and find a solution quickly while he also held BJP responsible for ruining Haryana's economy.

“Following a policy of reckless spending, the government has continuously increased the state’s debt burden. From 1966 to 2014, the state's debt was approximately Rs 60,000 crore, which has now ballooned to over Rs 5 lakh crore rupees. This reflects the dire state of the state's economy,” he stated.
