BJP MP Rodmal Nagar brushes off Digvijaya Singh's ballot paper ploy in MP

Congress veteran Digvijaya Singh advocated for ballot paper voting, suggesting that 400 nominations would compel it, citing skepticism towards EVMs and attributing BJP's victories to them. BJP MP Rodmal Nagar dismissed Singh's challenge, asserting, "People had seen both BJP and Congress governments and their leaders. There was no challenge to PM Modi, and people were firmly with BJP. We would definitely win."

In response to Congress veteran Digvijaya Singh's assertion that Rajgarh Lok Sabha seat's voting should be conducted through ballot papers, sitting BJP MP Rodmal Nagar expressed confidence, stating, "Digvijaya Singh is not a challenge. Whether polls are carried out through ballot papers or EVMs, people are with the BJP and nobody can prevent Narendra Modi from becoming prime minister again."

Nagar's remarks came after he visited the Bagula Mukhi temple in Susner, where he emphasized the unwavering support of the people for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP.

"People have seen both BJP and Congress governments and their leaders. There is no challenge to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and people are firmly with BJP. We will definitely win," Nagar affirmed to reporters.

Digvijaya Singh, addressing a gathering in Kachnariya during his 'Vayda Nibhao Yatra', had earlier advocated for the use of ballot papers in the upcoming elections.

"There is only one way for this (election through ballot paper) if 400 candidates fill nomination forms. I am preparing for this," Singh asserted, citing his opposition to EVMs and attributing BJP's victories to their use.

Singh, a Congress stalwart who served as MP from Rajgarh in 1984 and 1991 before becoming MP chief minister, has been a vocal critic of EVMs. Meanwhile, Nagar, who won the seat in 2014 and 2019, has been renominated by the BJP for the upcoming elections.
