The Kashmir unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has called upon the public to provide suggestions for their upcoming Assembly election manifesto in Jammu and Kashmir.

On Thursday, the party also launched a mobile number and an email address to gather these suggestions.

A BJP spokesperson stated, “In keeping with our commitment to inclusive and participatory governance, we invite citizens to share their ideas, concerns, and suggestions to help shape our manifesto.”

He added, “We believe every voice matters, and we are dedicated to ensuring that the welfare of people remains at the forefront of our agenda.”

“We urge everyone to call or email their suggestions,” Sharma said.

To ensure a thorough process, the BJP has set up a Manifesto Committee to review and consider all the suggestions received.

The party emphasised, “Our goal is to create a manifesto that is people-centric and addresses the key issues and challenges facing our region.”

Jammu and Kashmir is set to hold its first assembly elections in a decade. During the recent Lok Sabha elections, the BJP opted not to contest in the Kashmir Valley, focusing on winning hearts rather than seats.

Following a Supreme Court directive, the Central government has pledged to conduct assembly elections and hinted at restoring statehood to Jammu and Kashmir by October.
