Congress mocks at BJP's Choice of Yadav

The Congress today criticised the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for choosing Mohan Yadav as the next Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, saying that Yadav was facing serious allegations, including those pertaining to large-scale manipulation in the Ujjain masterplan.

The general secretary of the Congress, Jairam Ramesh, speaking on the matter, tweeted, “Eight days after the election results, BJP elected the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, a person against whom there are many serious allegations including of large-scale manipulation in the Ujjain masterplan. Out of the 872 acres reserved for Simhastha, his land was carved out by changing the land use.”

Jairam further pointed out that there are numerous videos of the BJP leader surfacing on the internet showing him engaging in abusive language, issuing threats, and making objectionable statements, adding, “Is this Modi’s guarantee for Madhya Pradesh”.

After the CM Name’s announcement, Yadav tweeted on “X” -

“Heartfelt gratitude to everyone for electing an ordinary worker like me as the leader of Madhya Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party's legislative party. Respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Respected National President Mr JPNadda, Respected Home Minister Shri Amit Shah. Thanks to ji and all the party leaders and workers.

Under the leadership of the Prime Minister, together, we will take Madhya Pradesh to new heights. Jai BJP, Jai Madhya Pradesh”.

Yadav has represented the Ujjain South assembly seat since his first election in 2013, securing re-election in 2018 and 2023.
