Even as the political reactions are pouring in over big developments that jolted AAP two days back, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta quipped on Sunday “everyone gains wisdom with time”. Earlier, on multiple AAP MLAs switching to the BJP she had described it as direct blow to the AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal.

Gupta responded to a question while speaking to reporters before leaving for the shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi here. Rajya Sabha member and AAP leader Raghav Chadha on Friday joined the BJP along with six other party MPs.Reacting to the development, Gupta said, “With time, everyone gains wisdom. I believe that in the interest of the nation, everyone should come together so that all citizens can move forward and work collectively-that is the right path.”

“I pray that the mother Goddess continues to bless all Indians and that the country keeps advancing under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. May every state and every citizen move forward,” she said.Extending a message to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, she said, “May the mother’s blessings always be with them. I wish them happiness, good health and safety.” The Delhi Chief Minister was warmly welcomed by BJP leaders and workers on reaching Katra town, the base camp for the pilgrims visiting the shrine.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said on Friday that the exodus of seven Rajya Sabha MPs of the AAP is a "direct blow" to the "dictatorship" of party supremo Arvind Kejriwal. The AAP suffered a jolt on Friday as seven of its Rajya Sabha MPs, including Raghav Chadha, Ashok Mittal and Sandeep Pathak, quit the party, with Chadha asserting that the Arvind Kejriwal-led party had strayed from its principles.

In a post on X, CM Rekha Gupta said the AAP was founded with the slogan of 'inquilab', but was now ending in mistrust and separation."Now only corrupt people are there in your party and not the common man," she said. The AAP termed the resignation of the seven MPs a "betrayal of Punjab" and accused the BJP of engineering the split by using the fear of central agencies.
