Congress MP Deepender Hooda criticised the Haryana BJP government, saying they are unable to answer questions raised by the public. He claimed that the government has become a government of announcements, making promises worth 10 Rupees but delivering work worth only 25 paise.
Hooda carried out a padyatra in Julana assembly constituency, interacting with people and taking suggestions for a public manifesto. He stated that the Congress party will prepare a people's manifesto based on these suggestions and that only Congress can lead Haryana to development, progress, and prosperity.
“It is clear from this that they also have nothing to tell. The BJP government in Haryana has become a government of announcements. Instead of making empty statements, the BJP should talk about its work in the last 10 years, and seek votes from the people on the basis of the work done. When the BJP government did not work in 10 years, what work will it do in the remaining 2 months. People have understood this and are eagerly waiting for the formation of the Congress government,” he said.
Hooda also highlighted the unfulfilled promises of the BJP government, including unemployment allowance, old age pension, and Punjab scale for employees. He questioned the government's performance on various issues, including farmer deaths, unemployment, drug addiction, crimes, and inflation.
“People in Julana are demanding an explanation for why there is no water supply here. Why is the power supply in Julana bad? Why is there no water in the canals? Why was the scheme of free plots of 100 yards for the poor and SC community stopped? Why are there no doctors in the hospitals of Julana? Why are the roads in Julana broken? Why was a college for women not built in Julana,” he added.
The padyatra was attended by a large number of people, including Congress leaders and workers. Hooda claimed that the 'Haryana Maange Hisaab' campaign has become a mass movement, with common citizens joining in and expressing anger against the government.
However, it's important to note that the BJP government has not responded to these allegations, and the opposition party's claims have not been verified. The situation will likely continue to unfold in the coming days.
