Arvind Kejriwal, the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), took a dig at his INDIA bloc ally Congress on Tuesday, accusing the party of secretly collaborating with the Bharatiya Janata Party.
His comments came in response to BJP IT Cell chief Amit Malviya, who had reacted to Kejriwal's criticism of Congress MP Rahul Gandhi. Kejriwal pointed out that after he made a simple remark about Gandhi, the BJP responded, which he believes shows how much the BJP is troubled.
He further added that the upcoming Delhi elections might reveal the long-standing "jugalbandi" (togetherness) between Congress and the BJP.
The tension started after Kejriwal reacted to Rahul Gandhi's sharp criticism of AAP over corruption.
Kejriwal tweeted, “Rahul Gandhi has abused me, but I will not comment on his remarks. His fight is to save Congress, my fight is to save the country.”
While Rahul Gandhi has not yet responded to Kejriwal, Amit Malviya from the BJP quickly retorted, “Worry about the country later. First save the New Delhi seat.”

Kejriwal is contesting from the New Delhi seat in the upcoming Delhi elections, where he faces tough competition from Parvesh Verma of BJP and Sandeep Dikshit of Congress, both sons of former chief ministers.
This growing rift between AAP and Congress comes as the INDIA bloc, which both parties are a part of, shows signs of strain. AAP has even threatened to leave the alliance after speaking with other parties.
Kejriwal's decision to publicly challenge Rahul Gandhi follows Gandhi’s remarks criticizing the AAP for not fulfilling promises, such as reducing corruption and inflation. Gandhi had also stated that Kejriwal, like Modi, makes false promises without delivering.
