Everyone is wondering whether Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will stay in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) or join the Grand Alliance. Recently, a surprising statement by Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Lalu Prasad Yadav has added to the confusion.
Speaking to reporters, he said the doors are open for CM Nitish Kumar and that he should come and work together with them if he wants to join the Grand Alliance. This statement has caused a stir in political circles and has made the NDA camp uneasy.
The comment came during the celebration of the birthday of Lalu Prasad's wife and former Chief Minister Rabri Devi on January 1, which was attended by Governor Arif Mohammad Khan. When journalists asked Lalu Prasad about CM Nitish Kumar, he said the doors are always open for the public and for CM Nitish Kumar.
Not long ago, Tejashwi Yadav, Lalu's son, had said that CM Nitish Kumar is tired, and the Mahagathbandhan doors are closed for him. However, he added that any decision about Nitish Kumar would be made by the party leadership, and everyone would accept it.
Lalu Prasad's recent statement has surprised many and raised new questions.
