On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took the oath of office for his third consecutive term at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi. The swearing-in ceremony was a grand and historic event, signifying the continuation of his leadership for the nation.
The prime minister took the oath of office from President Droupadi Murmu.
Modi, at the age of 73, initially became prime minister in 2014 and was re-elected in 2019.
He is the second prime minister, following Jawaharlal Nehru, to serve three consecutive terms.
Distinguished leaders from neighbouring countries and the Indian Ocean region were honoured guests at the event.
